The Universe of Newfoundland and Labrador Blogs
Posted by Kevin on 5/25/2005 @ 7:27 am
Indulge me in a bid to increase awareness of Newfoundland and Labrador bloggers – regardless of political leaning or affiliation! Many folks have been visiting this site lately and this a great opportunity to publicize the NL blogging universe.
If you are a Newfoundlander or Labradorian living away or in the province with your own blog, leave a comment with a link.
If you are a reader who frequents a Newfoundland and Labrador blog, leave a comment with links to the blogs you like.
Let’s throw caution to the wind here. If you have a list of NL blogs that you visit regularly, like mine over there on the right, leave a comment with your list!

Comment by Greg Locke — 5/25/2005 @ 11:01 amIt should be noted that Damien Penny,
Daimnation, http://www.damianpenny.com/
has made inroads, as far as I can tell, into the wider American and Canadian audience. Particularly on the right this little blog from Corner Brook has a big following. I think that’s really cool.
Comment by Kevin — 5/25/2005 @ 12:37 pmGood work Kevin,
Comment by Guy Barnable — 5/25/2005 @ 5:34 pmWe should be equally as demanding to the Liberals to get the Accord moving and stop using it as a pawn/hostage.
“We should be equally as demanding to the Liberals to get the Accord moving and stop using it as a pawn/hostage.”
The only ones who have any intention of doing that, are the Conservative-Bloc majority on the committee.

We just went through three weeks of the Hous ebeing hijacked whne this bill could have been dealt with a dozen times.
EVERYONE needs to get off their talking points and deal with the issue.
Pass the frickin’ bill.
Comment by Ed Hollett — 5/25/2005 @ 9:28 pmGood work Kevin.
Comment by Helen — 5/26/2005 @ 9:50 pmI agree that it is time the government did what they are being paid to do and “pass the bill". I am sick of the juvenile behaviour of both sides of the House. I must also say that as a Newfoundlander living thousands of miles from home, I am not too proud of Newfoundland’s MPs.
Hi everyone,
I agree this is a great idea for a post. Thanks for the heads up Kevin.
Ed, thanks for your links too. It’s nice to discover new blogs. I think I’m getting rusty, because I would usually have been all over that more quickly.
Anyway, I find the Newfoundland blogs to be so useful for keeping in touch with what’s on the go back home.
My reads:
John Gushue
Greg Locke
Ian Penney
Damian Penny
RJ
Shelly Hobbs
I can’t wait to get back there for the summer and re-immerse in the NL political landscape. Last week must have been very exciting!
Comment by Amy — 5/26/2005 @ 11:58 pmGreat idea.
I’m an avid reader of Newfoundland blogs
and I’ve discovered a few new ones here
to extend my coffee break.
I’m an avid blogger (Rj:Product as well,
though my domain tends to be a pop–culture
through a ‘Newfoundland-filter’.
I try (unsucessfully)
Comment by Rj — 5/27/2005 @ 6:02 amto avoid politics most of the time –
there are so many political bloggers
who do it so well, yourself included,
that I’d rather just send people
your way.
